Photography: Hallgrimur Church, Iceland

 ©2012 Am Ang Zhang

The church of Hallgrimur is the crown on Iceland's capital with its magnificent 73 metres high steeple rising above all other buildings in Reykjavik. It is the largest church of the country with a seating capacity for 1200 people in the nave.

It presents a major challenge to photography.

The super wide angle of 18 mm is no match as there is a serious perspective distortion problem.

So I have decided to set the lens to 27 mm, took three pictures and stitch them together.

 The result is as above!
